At the Whitsun camp in Klagenfurt the original race course was being cruised several times. The stretching and the essential carbohydrates didn't get a raw deal.

Robert Mader challenged his first 1/2-IRONMAN in St. Pölten. With nearly 3.500 competitors this was the biggest IRONMAN ever worldwide.

Manfred Kowald and Fredi Schlögl had a great performance at the half-distance in Vienna. Fredi could achieve the third place in his age class.

In the end the four Variotherm TRI-musketry started at the Stubenbergsee in Styria. Robert Mader, Fredi Schlögl, Alexander Watzek and Manfred Kowald completed the last shape test by blistering heat.
