"Hello to our construction workers, big and small!"
With this unusual welcome, Thomas Hartung commenced the opening of a truly unique kindergarten. The Waldorf pre-school in Leipzig was opened at the initiative of parents - a fact that the principal is particularly proud of. Week in, week out, parents worked together on the construction site, provided support in the background, and poured their energy and vision into the project.
This is how an ecologically sophisticated 'development room' for children took shape, unique in its construction materials. For example, the spaces in its wooden frame construction have been insulated with 550 balls of straw - volunteers gained the necessary expertise in a week-long straw construction seminar.
In this context, it's not surprising that a high value was placed on choosing an intelligent, sustainable heating system. The choice fell on Variotherm skirting heaters (Classic and Delta systems), which guarantee that the kindergarten stays cosy and warm.
