The specially developed heating elements from Variotherm are the technical core component of the Variotherm skirting heating systems. Highly efficient when it comes to performance. Optimised heat distribution.

COANDA-EFFECT

As the warm air rises it is drawn towards the cold surface - the Coanda effect - this avoids large-scale air movements in the room.

Skirting heating for court house

The heating system of the court house in Leoben makes full use of Variotherm’s classic skirting heating system (almost one kilometre was laid).

Our skirting heaters were furnished with special surface coverings that increase the effect of the heating. This means that despite the cost-saving low-temperature heating, it still remains comfortably warm in the Leoben court house even on the coldest winter days. With its unique architectural concept together with the art and installations that artists have integrated into the building, the court house completely reinterprets ‘courts’ and ‘prison’ as a theme. It was conferred the Styrian Award for Architecture in April 2005.
