Perfect living comfort
The installation of an air conditioning system was not an option for the client. On the one hand, the owner wanted to avoid cold drafts, on the other hand, the aesthetics of the rooms should not be affected by a large device. The discreetly installed Variotherm modular ceilings proved to be the perfect alternative for heating and cooling the stylish country house. Through radiation exchange, they ensure pleasant temperatures throughout the year and 30 percent less energy costs.
Energy efficient installation
In order to take full advantage of the ceiling heating and cooling, 72 m2 of the 18 mm thick gypsum fiber panel with integrated multi-layer aluminum composite pipes were laid clean, quickly and dry. The implementation was in the hands of Variotherm partner Technea Duurzaam. In the summer, 16 to 20 ° C of water circulates in these pipes, causing the ceilings to cool down and literally "swallow" the heat emitted by furniture, floors and walls. It creates a pleasantly cool room climate.
In winter, healthy radiant heat spreads, because 26 to 38 ° C warm water flows through the pipes and can hit the emitted heat - from top to bottom - at right angles to the surface. Furniture and other fixed elements in the room absorb the rays and release the gained energy as heat to the room. The residents are thus "heated from the inside". Additional comfort: Low air circulation to prevent dust build-up and silent operation, so that the system solution can also run at night.
Ecological and smart
In the spirit of sustainability, an air-water heat pump acts as an energy source whose integrated compressor raises or lowers the energy to the desired temperature and sends it directly to the surface heating or cooling system via the heat pump cycle. The sustainability bonus: A solar system heats up the buffer tank.
In addition, a building management system has been developed and installed to communicate with each other. Thus, the internal temperatures are kept constantly at the desired level.
Conclusion: Whether on the hottest summer days or during a harsh winter: in the picturesque villa there are always pleasant temperatures. Design, function and comfort are perfectly combined - a mixture to dream of!
