The Caricature Museum in Krems, whose front facade looks like a clown’s face, was designed by star architect and caricaturist Gustav Peichl. The long glass front and the museum’s glazed foyer area are equipped with Variotherm ducted channel heating. This generates a warm air veil that shields against the cold influx emanating from the extensive glass surfaces. The wonderful aspect about this solution is that it takes full advantage of the visual benefits provided by Variotherm’s ducted channel heating: because it is practically invisible, it does not impinge upon the building’s sophisticated architecture.
